The Iron Horse Inn
Bed And Breakfast
Granbury, Texas

The Iron Horse Inn, located in Granbury, Texas, is a large Craftsman style home featuring ornate mill work and intricate leaded glass has been pristinely restored. The home welcomes guests to experience another era of opulence when the iron horse reigned. Daniel C. Cogdell brought the train to Granbury, TX in the late 1800's and left his legacy a block from the restored train station. We invite you to share our home in the tradition that began almost 100 years ago.

We are pleased to announce that D Magazine selected The Iron Horse Inn to be included in their October 2000 cover story, Great Fall Escapes. They stayed at The Iron Horse Inn and were treated to a tour of Granbury.

Ft. Worth Star Telegram's Travel Editors voted The Iron Horse Inn as a Top Ten Bed and Breakfast in Texas (December, 2001). The article and picture of the Inn were printed in the weekend edition paper. We are honored and proud of this unsolicited recognition!

Besides this splendid 100 year-old house, well-manicured grounds and flower gardens, The Iron Horse Inn is well known for total care of its guests. The first-class service begins the minute you are personally greeted by the owners/hosts Bob and Judy. Each afternoon offers homemade refreshments of desserts and drinks, as well as a time for meeting other guests. Reservations for the live entertainment on the square is personally handled by the hosts, either on the phone or when you arrive. The rooms/suites include fresh flowers, fine soaps, luxurious robes (in three suites) and linens. The Thanksgiving through Christmas season has gained its own reputation: trees in every room, 15,000 white lights, Father Christmas collection and holiday treats make this a fairyland retreat.

For nine years, The Iron Horse Inn has been praised by guests, Granbury merchants, and book authors. A reservation at The Iron Horse Inn can be hard to get - call early to enjoy this fine Granbury treasure.
