The Cogdell Suite
Richly appointed rooms invite one into this grand suite, featuring bedroom furniture from the original house of 1885. Beveled French doors open from the bedroom to a large solarium with thirteen antique windows enveloped by a canopy of 300 year-old live oak trees with moonlights for evening's enjoyment. Private bath features the original 1905 six and a half foot ball and claw-foot tub with an exquisite European hand-held shower illuminated by an original 1905 skylight. This is Granbury's finest suite - book at least two months before the desired weekend! $245
     
The Nantucket Cottage
A separate carriage house with antique windows make this private dwelling a favorite. An architectural room divider separates the spacious bedroom from the comfortable sitting area complete with fireplace which is stocked with wood. The view from the English windows overlooks the spacious side yard. Private bath with claw-foot tub. Ceiling fans, cable TV and refrigerator. $225
     
The Baron's Balcony Suite
This spacious suite, furnished with antiques typifies an English Baron that just returned from an African Safari. The wall of windows and French doors lead to the private balcony for a gorgeous view of the sunset. The Baron's cozy reading alcove is on one end of the room, opposite the private bath with shower. Wine Cellar Suite
A private entrance at the rear of the house leads you into a secluded basement, which dates back to 1885! The thick, original limestone walls give one a country French flavor. There are ground-level horizontal windows in each room. This retreat is cool in the summer (central air & heat) and is gaining its own following. Shower bathroom is at the top of stairs. Note: double bed. $175
     
The Stateroom Suite
Adorned in rich blues, reds and cream, these chambers are reminiscent of a 1920's ocean liner suite. Dark blue walls in the bedroom, with bright red & cream plaids and florals give you the patriotic feel immediately. The large windows entice you to the garden, fish pond & waterfall below, which are lit by moonlights in the 400-year-old live oak tree. Adjoining the bedroom, the separate sitting area, with deep barn red walls, makes you feel as though you are experiencing a stateroom. Comfy furniture, oars, a deck chair and authentic ship's porthole door, ship books, a Navy suit, shells and interest pieces complete the picture. Private bath and shower. $195
     
The Pullman Room
Cozy 1905 "closet for trunks and suitcases and attic space" create a cozy place, filled with antique toys and games. $150
     
The Campaign Room
The ornate wallpaper uses tassels and rope to create an impressive trompe l'oeil "tent" in the tradition of the French aristocracy. Silk tassels, antique baskets, and dried wildflowers add to the charm of the French country feel. Private shower bathroom. $180
